I am the current professional research assistant and lab manager for the Social Neuroscience & Games lab, at the University of Colorado Boulder's Institute of Cognitive Science. My work focuses on understanding the underlying cognitive processes of social judgement and decision making. Through my work in the SNaG lab, under the direction of Dr. R. McKell Carter, I have had the opportunity to learn and grow passionate about software development and programming, which has in turn deepened my desire to understand the brain and the complex systems underlying social cognition. How do individuals use others and their behavior to develop a sense of identity and understanding of their environment? How does information spread through social networks and influence decisions? How do we find ways to communicate in environments which constrain the transfer of information (texting, emoji, eye-gaze, etc...). .
